I am so lucky to love what I do, but really, theres nothing I love more than love. So I love being involved, in any small way and small part, in someone else’s love. And there is nothing that screams love like getting married. Love.
In all seriousness, I was thrilled when I was invited by Jo and Martin to help them create the perfect invitations for their wedding, held in September of last year at the gorgeous Silo’s Estate on the South Coast of NSW. This gorgeous vineyard has a fabulously huge tree in the center of its rolling estate that simply screams “Get Married under here” – and so they did!
The theme of the wedding was centered around a rustic, vineyard style wedding using black as a hero colour, and really centering around natural textures and small details. This was encapsulated in the Tree Illustration that was created and used through all pieces of wedding collateral, including these stunning cuff links which were a gift from the bride to the groom on the day.
By using the image of the tree as the center piece for their design theme, we were able to keep other elements very simple. Clean black ribbon with white stitching and a simply typewriter-style font was enough encapsulate this very dignified day for the couple, while being completely unique to their own wedding story.
As with any wedding, its important to decide early on what it is that you do need, and precisely what it is that you don’t. Typical items like the Invitations, RSVP cards, Menu’s, Thank You Cards and a range in between were needed for the occasion, as well as beautiful tags for bonboniere.
It really was so wonderful to be part of Jo and Martin’s big day, and I was thrilled with the photography and finished items for their big day. May you have many happy years to come, and congratulations on the (imminent) birth of your beautiful bundle of joy!
If you, or someone you know, is getting married in the near future, I would absolutely love to be part of their big day! Simply send me an email to discuss a quote and your wedding schedule.
