THE BEST OF ‘THE HALL’ BY TYPO

The Home store by Typo best of range

I firmly believe that design is about more than the company branding you project and the brochures that you create.

The graphic design that I produce is heavily influenced by my personal tastes in homewares, clothing and interior style, and these same elements are then brought across as appropriate to the customer.

**All Images sourced from  “The Hall” website.

As those of you who follow my Facebook feed will know, I got very excited last week when I heard about the new “The Hall” range of homewares being released by kitschy mega-brand Typo.
The early mood images I saw promised textures, pastels, edgy design and a good selection of affordable homewares. I wasnt disappointed when I opened up the store, and I wanted to share some of my favourite items with you here!

I really think that the best in interior style and homewares comes out when you combine a bunch of different elements, from different stores and eras together. Im a big fan of monocromatic tones, as you can see here, and bright pops of colour through plants. I love a variety of textures and and industrial feel, and “The Hall” along with the existing range available at Typo brings that in spades.

Gradient Placemats
Great for adding some texture to your table (as you can see below), Ive not seen anything like these in homewares this season.

Pattern Throw and Cushions
C
hevron has to be one of the biggest patterns for the season, and this throw and cushion really bring it to a bigger geometric level. These would be great against a plain coloured couch, in a beige or brown colour, adding a pop of texture.

Chevron Storage Tubs
Storage is so important in homes, and its often absolutely horrible to look at. Having these tubs visible in your home will both look great and provide you with more places to store your things!

Crochet Pots and decorative bits
Again great for adding texture to the home, and creating layers of similar monotone colours. These add delicacy to an otherwise quite harsh range, and creates a great sense of balance.

Round Cement Pot and Flat Cement Pot
These might just be my favourite pieces in the range. Delicate, yet have a strong and hardy exterior, with lots of texture, and when filled with succulents really bring colour into the home.

Black and White Housewarming Card
A beautiful and delicately designed card, that coordinates in most homes, particularly mine!

Tall Black and White Pillar Candles; Short White Pillar Candles
Candles are a great way to add warmth to a home, and there is nothing more romantic than flickering light. These candles are going to look amazing either melted or just as they are, layer them up with some of the crochet cup holders and the smaller plates in the range to create interesting stand-alone decorations.

Black Skull Storage Jar
A quirky table piece is exactly what “The Hall” is all about – interesting pieces that can be tied into almost any home. This and the concrete colour are my favourite, the size is good without your whole home heading towards Halloween.

Misshaped Shakers
These are actually from the straight range “Typo @ Home”. Its important to note how easily different products from different ranges and retailers can coordinate together, if you use the same principles – quirky, geometric shapes, monochromatic colours and functional pieces.

Wall Arrow Decoration and fantastic Wall Amphesand
Again, these are absolutely on my list of favourites. They are a great way to bring that really industrial feel into the space, a different colour (steely grey) and some larger, decorative pieces.

So let me know, have you looked at the range? Are you interested in purchasing any of the items above, or are there other pieces that you think hold the spotlight better?
